It is with great sadness that the Board of Directors of the Union Agricultural Society have made the difficult decision to cancel the 182nd Annual Four Town Fair slated to be held on September 17-20, 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused uncertain times in our state and communities. The safety and concern of our volunteers, exhibitors, vendors and fairgoers was the primary focus of our decision-making process.
The fair has been only canceled during the Civil War and World War II throughout its 182-year history, therefore making this decision an emotional one.
As a board, we look forward to bringing this to fruition each year so we can spread happiness and share the knowledge about our agricultural heritage. After all, what is better than seeing the joy on children’s faces when they see the ribbon they have won? Our plan is to stay safe and to stay healthy so that we can continue this annual tradition. We fully intend to hold our great agricultural fair next year welcoming every back – volunteers, exhibitors, vendors and fairgoers.
So, we will see you all next year at our 183rd Annual Four Town Fair on September 16, 17, 18, 19 2021.
Until then -be well
