To
our loyal Cannon Grange Members,
To our ‘Ag Fair Advertisers and Vendors,
To our ‘Ag Fair Non-Profits,
To CT ‘Ag Fairs,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news: we will not be hosting
our Agricultural Fair this year. This decision was not made lightly, and
I know how deeply many of us feel the absence of this beloved
tradition. For so many, myself included, the ‘Ag Fair has been a
highlight of the year—a place where hard work is celebrated, where
ribbons are awarded, and where community pride takes center stage.
But while this chapter pauses, the spirit of our Grange continues to
thrive. We are already booking new, creative ways to honor the legacy of
the Grange Hall as a space for connection, exchange, and growth. Just
as it once welcomed neighbors to share knowledge and ideas, we look
ahead to gatherings that will spark innovation while staying rooted in
the values we hold dear.
No one feels the loss of being able to announce, exhibit, and award the
efforts of our community more deeply than I do. Serving as Commissioner
of the ‘Ag Fair has been a true privilege, and I thank you all for the
honor of being part of something so meaningful. While this year looks
different, our shared passion for agriculture, learning, and fellowship
will continue to guide what comes next.
